| Nainital |
Nainital is a small hillstation in the lap of the Kumaon
Range. It is the city of lakes. Once upon a tome there
used to be several huge lakes in Nainital which are
now extinct or only flashes of those lakes are left.
The Naini Lake is the most beautiful lake in this region
which is surrounded by several other lakes situated
closeby. River Ramganga originates from the Doodha Tauli
ranges in district Pauri Garhwal. It enters into Nainital,
before re-entering into Pauri Garhwal.

Manali |

Manali is an enchanting hillstation located in the Kullu
Valley. It is known for its proximity to the snowline and
offers spectacular views of towering snow-covered peaks
of the greater Himalayas. It is surrounded by lush pine
forests and has some of the most picturesque landscapes.
Manali is named after ‘Manu’, the famous sage
who is said to have been the only one to survive when the
whole world was drowned.The river Beas flows through Manali
and almost every other spot seems like a priceless painting.
The prime attractions of Manali are Hadimba Devi Temple,
Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa, Gulaba Camp, Malana Valley, Manali
Sanctuary, Mountaineering Institute, Naggar, Nehru

This
hill station is located in the Garhwal range and owing
to its spectacular scenery is known as the ‘Queen
of Hills’.
It is the closest hillstation to Delhi and is also the
most popular summer –retreat for many North Indians.
Mussoorie is an incredibly beautiful hill station and
is the home town of the famous short story writer, Ruskin
Bond.
The glittering view of the Doon Valley and the picturesque
Shivalik range are reminiscent of a fairytale.
The climate is freezing in winters and pleasant in summers.

Kufri |
|

| |
Kufri is a famous ski resort of Himachal, located at a distance
of 16 km from Shimla on the national highway 22. It is also
famous for trekking and hiking trails. It consists of beautiful
nature parks and picnic spots. A whole lot of winter sports
are hosted here. It also has a Potato Research Institute.
In 1864, Shimla became the summer capital of the British Raj.
Soon Kufri also became a famous destination.
Many adventure lover’s visit Kufri for the various recreation
activities it offers ranging from hiking and trekking to skiing
and tobogganing. Its snow covered slopes make it a skiing
paradise. A lot of foreign tourists also visit Kufri who are
unable to afford the expensive vacations to the ski slopes
of the Swiss Alps or the Colorado.
